Slow Cooker Apple Crumble

Raise your hand if you like eating fall baked goods, but hate spending the hours to make them?! ME ME ME ME ME.

One reason I favor cooking over baking is because I can freestyle a little bit. Add a dash of this, sprinkle of that, etc.

The recipe I am about to share is EASY and there was no exact measuring. The measurements provided are just suggestions and can/should be changed based on your sweetness preference. I noted where I made changes.

Ingredients:

Apple Mixture

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup raw honey ( I only did about 1/4 and it was plenty sweet!)

7 peeled and chopped apples

1/2 tsp salt

2 tspĀ pumpkin pie spice

Topping

2/3 cup gluten free oats

2/3 cup brown sugar ( I used 1/3)

1/4 cup gluten free flour blend

1 tspĀ pumpkin pie spice

4 tbsp softened butter

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

* Tahitian Vanilla Bean Gelato * Add 1 scoop to top of warmed apple crisp, if desired.

Directions:

Core and chop apples

Combine ingredients for apple mixture and pour into slow cooker, evenly

Mix topping ingredients in bowl

Spread over the apple mixture

Cook on low for 4 hours, or high for 2. Garnish with cinnamon and a scoop of ice cream.
